This is a fairly laid back place. Most of the activity goes on in the local beach bars.

There isn’t really a big disco club scene here, but most of the bars play music or have a DJ. Certain bars operate in high season that are aimed mainly at Spanish tourists. In a many cases, you won’t even need to venture outside the hotel, as they provide top class evening entertainment.

La Laja bar is located on La Barrosa beach. This place has become a second home for many visitors. It’s open Monday to Sunday from 4 in the afternoon until late.

The Bongo Bar serves excellent fresh fish and has a wide variety of drinks on the menu. It’s on the beach, right in front of Sancti Petri Island and has spectacular views.

El Lager is on the second line of La Barrosa beach. A nice place to chill out. It has a large terrace and is popular both during the day and at night.

The Utopia Bar is a good place for tunes; chill out in the afternoons, then ambient house in the evenings. It also has a terrace, and some amazing decorations inside. It’s open during the day and at night.

Chiringuito Castillo is on Playa Sancti Petri. It’s open daily during the summer months. It has a good atmosphere, beautiful sea views, and is a great place to chill out for the afternoon.
