Museo Taurino Municipal Francisco Montes "Paguiro": Romantic museum of Chiclana bullfighters in the XIX century and dedicated especially to Francisco Montes "Paquiro". It´s installations were inaugurated in june of 2005, and show part of the Sagnier collection pieces, cataloged as one of the best bull expositions in all of Spain.
New existing dependencies in the museum are dedicated to the exposition in the bull museum, in which they have given a surface measuring 200 m2 in which people can contemplate the more than 200 pieces from 1.400 that complete the Sangier colection.
There are 4 rooms in the museum: Bullfighting origins, Paquiro and his time, Contemporary bullfighting, and The bull and the arts.
In the first room you will be informed of the European myth as well as the Chiclanera school, passing to the decadense of bullfighting and horses in the bullring; in the second room is a complete story of the life and artwork of this local bullfighter Paquiro. In the third room you will find on exposition the bullfighter outfits, as well as the artworks related to the bullfighting world.
In the local museum you will also find and art piece of Paquiro made by Cavanna, there are also pieces exhibited from Benjamin Palencia, Mariano Benlliure, Zuloaga, as well as other bullfighters of the same levesl of Luis Miguel Dominguin, Curro Romero, or Juan Belmonte amongst others. Next to the artwork in the museum of Paquiro there are exposed other art works related to the chiclanero bullfighting to show the visitor the live and art of this romantic bullfighter.
